Mini French Pharmacy Haul | La Roche Posey, Bioderma, and Nuxe

Hi Everyone!
Recently, I came across a new beauty blogger, Amelia, and immediately found her beauty recommendations helpful and inspiring. Her blog she talked about French beauty products and how amazingly they work. Not just currently but how French beauty products have been known for years to be the absolute best! Of course when I read this I had to get some French products for myself. These are a few that she recommended and some that I thought looked interesting.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Solution -  Bioderma has become a makeup and beauty lovers staple over the last few years and it really is an amazing product. It removes makeup and cleanses your face at the same time. I usually wash my face first with water and a foaming cleanser, then use this on a cotton pad to remove any last traces of makeup. It can even remove eye makeup! It really leaves your face feeling super clean without feeling tight and dry. Above is the Sensibo range which is made for sensitive skin so, any skin type could use this without irritation. I love this product!

La Roche-Posay Toleriane- I really loved using this moisturizer. It is formulated for sensitive skin and free of fragrance, preservatives and parabens. It left my skin feeling hydrated and is great for a everyday moisturizer as it contains minimal ingredients to help prevent any type of skin reaction. If you did have any type of skin problem, it will help sooth the irritation. Love it!

La Roche-Posey Redermic C- This product sounded really interesting as I read the description on the escentual website. It contains hyaluronic acid to help plump the skin which helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It said it was non greasy and you could wear it under make up to help your foundation sit nicely. It sounded pretty perfect to me. After trying it several times, the product would start flaking as I applied my foundation! (fail) So, I decided to used it at night instead. I do feel it hydrated my skin more that other products in the past but I don't think I will be repurchasing :(

Nuxe Reve de Miel lip moisturizing stick is a super moisturizing lip balm that after purchasing and using it,  I cannot be without it! Great for anytime but especially during the winter to carry in your purse or pocket. Nuxe also makes a lip balm in a pot that is much thicker and super, super moisturizing which is amazing as well. If you were going try out any of these products, I would definitely get this lip balm! Amazing!

Last but not least, Nuxe Body Long Lasting Deodorant looked like an interesting product to try. It has a pleasant smell and a roll on applicator. I haven't used a deodorant with a roll on in years! I do have to report it really is not a good choice of deodorant if you plan to have a heavy gym work out as it really didn't last but for an easy day of not strenuous activity its just fine. It contains mostly natural ingredients and that's is one reason I was drawn to this product. Probably will not be repurchasing as it really isn't worth the price for what you get in my opinion.

I hope you have enjoyed hearing about these french pharmacy products. You can find these products and many others at Escentual.com .  This is one of my new favorite websites! Which product do you want to try?

Top 10 Drugstore Beauty Products under $10!

Hi Everyone!
I wanted to share with you some of the drugstore beauty products that I use and absolutely could not live with out. These are products that I use pretty much everyday and find myself rushing to the store to repurchase when I run out. Some I have used  for a long time and some are new love. But one thing is true... they are all under $10!

Body Products
St. Ives has a really great exfoliating body wash that I absolutely love. The body wash is a thick cleanser with lots of micro sea salt particles. It works so well because of the denseness of the product. After applying the body wash and adding a little water it starts to foam like a regular body wash and the sea salt particles dissolve away. This body wash has a very mild scent, not over powering at all and it has become one of my shower staples. You can purchase at most drugstores and cost around $5.99.

Vaseline Spray & Go moisturizer.....Where have you been my entire life??? The first time I tried this new moisturizer I instantly LOVED IT! One of the things that I completely cannot stand is feeling sticky and greasy after applying moisturizer, so much that I would rather skip it all together than have that feeling. Now I don't have to skip it ever again thanks to Vaseline! The Spray & Go formula is light

Nails
No more packing a whole bottle of nail polish remover and risking spillage in your luggage... These are the best thing that has happened in a long time to polish remover. These are from Equate and are individually wrapped cotton pads soaked with  polish remover. They are so easy to bring with you. Just toss a few in your purse and you can always be prepared for a polish change .These have really made it much more convenient to be able to remove polish that is chipping and paint them again. You can purchase them at most drugstores. I got these at Wal-Mart and they were about $4.49.  Absolutely love them!!!
Eyes

Cover Girl Flamed out mascara is one of my new favorites and quickly has become a must wear everyday. This is literally the only mascara that has not created "raccoon eyes" on me. I can actually put this on my bottom lashes and not have one smudge all day! LOVE this mascara! Check out my full Flamed Out Review here.

I have always thought of Wet N Wild makeup as the cheapest makeup in the entire drugstore but... just because its cheap doesn't mean that it isn't great quality. In fact, Wet N Wild eyeshadows are some of the best! They are really pigmented and once you try them you will be so surprised how nice they are. They are awesome! They range in price from $.99 to $4.99 (palette below in Comfort Zone)

Cheeks
Wet N Wild also has other great products for really cheap. I love this blush in Pearlescent Pink and Bronzer in Princess. They both are super pigmented and are just gorgeous.

Eyebrows
This amazing eyebrow product from Elf had been one of my favorites for several years. It comes with a gel side and a powder side which work perfectly together to fill in brows very naturally. The best thing about this product is ... it will last you for ever and it's only $3!

Lips

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss is another great product that is a must have in your makeup bag. They have a wonderful formula that is not sticky. They add bit of color and have a wide range of shades. These are a great alternative to some of the high end, expensive lip glosses they sell at Sephora.  They are  about $7.49

Maybeline Baby Lips has been one of  my go to lip moisturizers for over a year. It moisturizes and adds a hit of color. It is much better than using regular chapstick. They come in several colors and flavors. The color I have is Peach Kiss and I absolutely love the smell! It is subtle and not overpowering. I really love Baby Lips and highly recommend trying it out. The best thing... they are really affordable at $3.99!

Hair

The Loreal EverCreme range is just my absolute favorite haircare products to use. They are sulfate free and just smell AMAZING! This particular product is the Cleansing Conditioner but I love the Shampoo and Conditioner. It is moisturizing and cleanses really well. You can find this Loreal range at most drug stores and runs around $5.99. Sometimes you can find it on sale 2 for $8 so keep your eyes peeled!

I hope you enjoyed reading about my Top 10 Drugstore Beauty Products. What are some of your must haves from the drugstore? Leave me a comment below :)

The Sunday Foodie | How to make Fraffles?!?

Hi Everyone! You're probably wondering... "What the heck are Fraffles?"  Breakfast is one of my favorite meals to make, especially on Sunday morning, by making Fraffles you get the best of two breakfast dishes.

Fraffles are a little idea I got from my mom that crosses french toast with a waffle.
( French Toast + Waffles = Fraffles) I know its kind of a funny name. I wanted to think of a clever name sort of like the Cronut :)

The idea is quite ingenious actually. Let's say you like making waffles but your not really feeling up to  mixing a waffle batter but you are also in the mood for french toast and you have some bread you need to use up. This is a quick and easy breakfast that really takes no time at all.  Here are the ingredients that I used, but of course you can adapt the recipe as you like.

2 slices of bread- I just used what I had which was wheat bread
2 to 3 eggs beaten
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

You will also need a waffle iron and any condiments you usually like on your waffle or french toast. I prefer just plain old butter and maple syrup.

First, heat up your waffle iron. In a bowl, beat the eggs and add in the cinnamon and vanilla. When the waffle iron is ready, dip one of the slices of bread in the egg mixture just like when you are making french toast. Place soaked bread in the waffle iron and close. Cook for about 3 to 4 min. Time will depend on the thickness of your bread.  Check after 3 min to insure it does not get too brown. Once cooked, top with your favorite breakfast condiments. :)

I hope you find this as easy to make as I did. Its quick, simple and its a great alternative when you can't decide what your in the mood for breakfast on a Sunday morning... french toast or waffles... how about both?

Let me know if you try out Fraffles. I would love to hear from you!

Think Pink! | My Current Lip Color Obsession

Hi Everyone!

Recently, I have rediscovered my love for lip products with color... especially PINK! For a really long time I really wore nothing but sheer lip glosses and once in a great while I might wear a lipstick. In the last few months I have really been enjoying wearing different shades of pink. I have found certain shades of a medium pink look really nice on my complexion as well as the contrast of a bright pink makes my complexion glow.

Besides the perfect pink color of these lip products, the formulas and quality of all of these lip products is awesome too!

Here are some of the PINK lip products I have been loving to wear:

1. Loreal Extrordinaire by Colour Riche in 104 Dancing Rose
2. Loreal Extrordinaire by Colour Riche in 106 Fuchsia Orchestra
3. POP Beauty Plump Pout in Peony Petal
4. Wet N Wild Megaslicks Balm Stain in 126 Rico Mauve
5. NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Beige
6. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in 205 Elusive
7. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 025 Sweetheart
8.Maybelline Color Whisper by Color Sensational in 55 One Size Fits Pearl

Even if you don't prefer the shade of pink in lip products, take a look at these as you might be surprised. It can be overwhelming to pick out just the right shade in a row of 15 different colors.

What lip colors/ products are you loving at the moment? Let me know below :)

Beauty Favorites | June 2014

Hi Everyone!
June has flown by just as quick as it arrived and its that time again for my monthly beauty favorites! In June, I found some really great products that I am really excited to share. I also have a rediscovery that I am really glad I tried again. Here are the products I have been loving during the month of June....

St Ives Fresh Hydration Lotion in Oatmeal & Shea Butter- I am a huge fan of the new spray lotions and moisturizers and decided to try out the St Ives brand as I noticed that the Spray lotion was new to their line. I had never tried this scent before and I am so glad I did because it smells so good! For lotion, I really prefer a more neutral scent so it doesn't interfere with my perfume and this is just perfect. It has a very mild, clean pretty scent that lightly lingers on the skin. The spray type lotion really makes me to put on lotion more frequently and I have really loved using this in June.

St Ives Body Wash in Oatmeal & Shea Butter- To match the lotion, I also picked up the Oatmeal & Shea Body Wash. Since I really am forgetful when it comes to putting on lotion, I wanted to have a body wash that helped with moisturizing while in the shower. I would say this body wash helps some but not as much as I would have liked. It does have the same scent which I really love and it lathers quite nicely. Another great thing about this body wash is that the bottle is HUGE! This will probably last me for months!

Loreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara- I have been using the Miss Manga Mascara for about 6 weeks now and have really been loving it!. At first I was not too sure that I liked it because it does make your lashes quite doll like, but after using it for about a week I knew that it was working really well with lashes. I found that this formula and wand, lengthened and volumized my lashes and didn't flake off all over my under eyes.  It washes off really well without leaving clumps of mascara on your lashes. I definitely recommend giving this one a try as I really  enjoying using it.

Loreal Boost It High Lift Creation Spray- This is for all of you flat hair girls out there just like me...Get Root volume with out having to tease your hair! I am loving it! To describe this product for you, I would say its a extra firm hairspray that is not sticky or too stiff. It does not leave your hair weighed down either. When I apply this I part my hair in sections and spray up under that particular section just as if I was teasing it but I don't tease at all... just spray! It gives me just enough lift and lasts for most of the day. If you have fine hair like me this will really help you hair have some volume and texture. Love it!

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle- Last but not least is an oldie but a goodie. I probably tried this product about 6 years ago when it first came out on the market and I really liked it then. For some reason I just never repurchased it. I think I just wanted to try out new products.  I happen to see some other bloggers talking about this product and though I would give it another try. I am so glad I did because it really does a great job at helping dark circles. The formula is very light and thin but it really helps conceal and brighten the under eye area. Its been just about a month since I started using this again and I can wholeheartedly say, I love it and do not want to be with out this in my makeup bag. Its that good...

I hope I have helped some of you find some new products to love too! I would love to hear what products you have been loving this month. Leave me a comment down below telling me what your favorites are...

Summer Beach Essentials | Summer 2014

Summer is here!

The weather is warming up and its time to get ready for spending lots of time at the beach. Whether your on vacation or just having a beach day, these are some of my beach must haves to be prepared for having a easy and fun summer day at the beach!

 Nail Polish
The night before going to the beach I like to paint my toe nails with a bright summery color. These are a couple of my current summer nail polish favorites. They are bright , fun and perfect for the beach. The first color is Wet N Wild in Heatwave and this really pretty muted neon green from Color Club.( sorry I don't know the name)
Beach Bag
To carry all of your beach essentials you will need a beach bag. This one I picked up about 2 summers ago and its from Nine West. I just love how summery and nice it looks. Everytime I use this bag I just think of summer.

Sunscreen
As I mentioned in my May Favorites I have been really loving the Banana Boat Quick Dry Sport Body and Scalp because its not greasy at all. Plus, really helps protect me from sunburn.

Beach Towel
Can't forget a nice big beach towel to lay out on.

Good Reads
I like to take a few magazines or a book to stay entertained while laying in the sun. You could also take a kindle or iPad but remember everything will get sand in and on it.

Bathing Suit
This bikini is from Op. I just really loved the color and the fact that the top is padded. It gives great shape and coverage. Love it.

Cover Up
As well as having a good bathing suit you also need a good cover up. This retro inspired cover up is from Club Z Collection. I loved the detail and that its made of a thin white material. Perfect for staying cool in hot weather. Super cute!

Sunglasses
The sun can be so bright at the beach so having a pair of sunglasses is a must! The sun reflects off the water and sand, and sometimes can be so blinding. This year I picked up these sunglasses at Forever 21 for around $5.

Shoes
I wanted some really cute sandals for this summer that I could get some really good use out of. These sandals from Target are perfect. I love the nautical rope detailing and also that they are all silver. Great for the beach or a night out on the town.

Hat
As I have got older I have realized that having a hat is a must! I always thought that wearing a hat was too dorky but there are some really cute hat styles now that make it fashionable to where a hat and still look cute. I really like this fedora style hat for its style and function. This girl is not going to have a sunburned scalp ever again!

Sea Spray for Hair
When I am at the beach my hair gets completely wind blown so I thought why not just go with it instead of fight it. This Loreal TXT IT Tousle Waves Spray is perfect to use in your hair if your going to the beach. This way you don't have to worry about messing up your hair. It gives you a textured wave just as if you were at the beach all day. Easy beach hair!

I hope you enjoyed reading about my beach must haves. What are some of yours? Tell me below.:)

Beauty Favorites | May 2014

Hi Everyone!

Hope you all are enjoying the start to your summer! My May favorites are here and I am very excited about the new products I discovered this month. They are all so amazing that I know each and everyone of you will want to go right out and try them for yourself :)
So without delay, here are my May Favorites....

L'Oreal Extraordinaire by Colour Riche

These new lip glosses from L'Oreal are sooo awesome! They are like a gloss/lipstick/stain all in one. They are super moisturizing, super pigmented and leave a nice stain after the gloss wears off. They have a spade shaped applicator which allows perfect coverage and they have a really pretty scent. I loved them so much that I purchased 3 colors! The color pictured is Rouge Allegro. I purchased mine at CVS for $9.99 but I have also been to Target  Definitely worth trying because you will love them too!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

I have actually been using this foundation for about 3 months and I am really, really loving how great this foundation makes my skin look. It has light to medium coverage and really helps cover some redness. It also has an ever so slight dewy radiance which really "wakes you up". My skin looks glowing, flawless. This foundation is going to be a staple in my makeup bag from now on. The Wake Me Up foundation is not available in stores in the USA, but it can be ordered online from Asos.

NYX Matte Finishing Spray

I am in love with everything NYX at the minute and this Matte Finish Spray has made me love NYX so much more! My friend Anne had this in her makeup bag and after trying it out for myself I had to go straight to the store and get it. I always get really oily in the T-zone even if I use powder. By the end of the day, its as if I didn't use any powder at all. This stuff is Awesome! It sets your makeup and makes it last for hours and it keeps my nose and forehead from getting super oily. I think I may have found a new holy grail product!!! You can find this at Target for $7.99.

Banana Boat Body and Scalp Sunscreen SPF 30

Being the fair skinned maiden that I am, LOL, when the weather warms up I MUST wear sunscreen if I plan to be out in the sun for more than 20 minutes. Otherwise, I will burn really quickly. Every year I look for new sunscreen to try out but I have never found a sunscreen that I could say I really love. Until a few weeks ago while on vacation, My friend Stasha had the Banana Boat Quick Dry Sport Body and Scalp Sunscreen.  I tried it out and... WOW! I Love it!  It is literally not greasy at all. Sometimes when sunscreen a claims to be non greasy it still is a little bit and I hate how it feels on my skin. But not this one. I wore this sunscreen at the waterslide park all day and didn't get burned at all. I was 100 degrees and I was in and out of the water for hours and it worked awesome. I highly, highly recommend this sunscreen. You can find this in store at Target and its a great price for how well it works!

I hope all of you enjoyed seeing my May Favorites. Tell me below what products you have been loving this month.

Thanks for reading!

Influenster sent me a VoxBox! Spring Preview #FindItAtTarget

I recently was selected by influenster to received their Spring Preview VoxBox containing 1 of 25 different beauty products being sold at Target stores. Some of the products are new to Target and some they have carried for a long time. I was lucky enough to get a full size Salon At Home Hairspray by Charles Worthington.

The first thing I noticed was it's the perfect size for travel.... not too big and not too small. It would allow you to have a "nice" hairspray when you travel instead of the travel size mini hairspray from the drugstore that is sometimes... not that great. Spraying the hairspray for the first time I noticed a very nice light fragrance that does not linger. The hairspray also has a very nice firm hold that is not too sticky or stiff. I have very fine soft hair and I need a pretty firm hairspray to keep my hair in place. The Salon at Home Long Lasting Max Hold Hairspray did the trick. It holds all day!

I really enjoyed trying this hairspray and would definitely purchase this product on my own.

Hope you enjoyed my review of this product. Thank you Influenster! #FindItAtTarget

Wet N Wild Megaslicks Balm Stain Review

Hi Everyone!

Recently, Wet n Wild has come out with their very own Balm Stains! Very similar to the Revlon or Neutrogena versions you may have seen at the drugstore, these are definitely worth a try since they are extremely affordable at about $3 each!!!

With a price like that, I can't imagine that these will stay on the shelves for long. That's why when I saw them I got the three colors I thought I would use the most. L to R: Lady and the Vamp, Red-dy or Not and Rico Mauve.

They have a jumbo crayon look with the ability to turn the bottom silver part to expose more product as you apply it.  It has a very moist melty texture and it glides on very smoothly.

The colors are very complimentary and they last a long time. After a few hours I needed to reapply to add a little moisture back, as my lips started to dry out a bit. Even though they were a bit dry there was still color left!

The color I have been using the most is Rico Mauve as it is a medium pink and it is very nice as an everyday lip color.

If you have never tried any of the balm stain products from any of the make up lines, I recommend trying out Wet n Wild's version. At about half the cost of other brands, I have to say I really like these better than the Revlon Balm Stains.

If you have tried Balm Stains... Which do you like? Let me know in the comments.

Thanks for reading!
