After
seeing this foundation have rave reviews for months and months, I finally got
my hands on it! I searched ebay several different times for this
foundation and there were many options but mostly never had my shade or the
price was ridiculous. Then shopping on day on Asos.com, I randomly checked the
section with makeup not really thinking there would be any products worth
looking at and... there It was! The Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation! I
immediately clicked "add to cart". J The great thing about Asos.com is that my order
had qualified for free shipping and I was getting the foundation for $16.95, probably
what it cost on the store shelf in the UK! The price for Bourjois Healthy Mix is
obviously is more than a drugstore foundation but pretty reasonable considering
the prices for foundation in high end brands can range from $22-$48.
First, this foundation has a different formula than any
foundation I have tried. Its formula is light, creamy and has pretty amazing
coverage. Coverage is light to medium
but definitely not full coverage. It glides on very easily and blends very
nicely. I find the less you use the better result. I ordered the color 52 Vanille. It matches my
skin color great and looks very natural. It looks like my skin but better. I
also find that it has more of a yellow undertone which covers up my redness
really well.
If you have combo skin like me, you might find foundation in
general does not want to stick in the oily areas. Lately, I have been using a primer to help
with the foundation staying on in those areas. I find that if I want my
foundation to last in general…. I need a primer. It last so much longer! Borjouis Healthy Mix is the only foundation I
have used where it feels like it has some type of moisturizer effect after
applied. it is definitely not drying at all. It contains several fruit oils
creating a nice moisture balance.
Some other great things about Bourjois Healthy Mix
Foundation are: It has a scent that
smells really good. It reminds me of the Fructis brand products. Very fruity
and fresh. Don’t worry your face won’t smell like a fruit salad all day…. it
fades away once you apply it. Also, the foundation bottle has a pump! Great for getting just the amount you want
and need. Plus, no messy lid or bottle spilling everywhere.
If you are looking for a new foundation to try out I highly
recommend trying out Bourjois Healthy Mix. It’s something different that the
normal foundations we can buy at Target or Wal-Mart and its awesome! Hope you will like it as much as I do!
