Fall Favorites │ Fall Nail Polish Colors

 

Hi Everyone!

 

I wanted to share some of my favorite nail polish shades that absolutely loved wearing this fall.

This year I am really loving the dark grey and ox blood shades as well as the dark royal blue shades. Another shade that I have really loved this fall is rose gold.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation Review

               

 

 

Hi Everyone!

 

After seeing this foundation have rave reviews for months and months, I finally got my hands on it! I searched ebay several different times for this foundation and there were many options but mostly never had my shade or the price was ridiculous. Then shopping on day on Asos.com, I randomly checked the section with makeup not really thinking there would be any products worth looking at and... there It was! The Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation!   I immediately clicked "add to cart". J The great thing about Asos.com is that my order had qualified for free shipping and I was getting the foundation for $16.95, probably what it cost on the store shelf in the UK!  The price for Bourjois Healthy Mix is obviously is more than a drugstore foundation but pretty reasonable considering the prices for foundation in high end brands can range from $22-$48. 

 

First, this foundation has a different formula than any foundation I have tried. Its formula is light, creamy and has pretty amazing coverage.  Coverage is light to medium but definitely not full coverage. It glides on very easily and blends very nicely. I find the less you use the better result.  I ordered the color 52 Vanille. It matches my skin color great and looks very natural. It looks like my skin but better. I also find that it has more of a yellow undertone which covers up my redness really well.

                

 

If you have combo skin like me, you might find foundation in general does not want to stick in the oily areas.  Lately, I have been using a primer to help with the foundation staying on in those areas. I find that if I want my foundation to last in general…. I need a primer. It last so much longer!  Borjouis Healthy Mix is the only foundation I have used where it feels like it has some type of moisturizer effect after applied. it is definitely not drying at all. It contains several fruit oils creating a nice moisture balance.

Some other great things about Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation are:  It has a scent that smells really good. It reminds me of the Fructis brand products. Very fruity and fresh. Don’t worry your face won’t smell like a fruit salad all day…. it fades away once you apply it. Also, the foundation bottle has a pump!  Great for getting just the amount you want and need. Plus, no messy lid or bottle spilling everywhere.



                  

 

 

 

If you are looking for a new foundation to try out I highly recommend trying out Bourjois Healthy Mix. It’s something different that the normal foundations we can buy at Target or Wal-Mart and its awesome!  Hope you will like it as much as I do!

DIY │ How to Make Beergarita's

Hi Everyone!

 

 I am always looking for new cocktails to try out. I recently found a new one you can make ahead. It's perfect for parties and summer BBQ's or a relaxing night with friends - Beergaritas!

 

Similar to a Margarita, this cocktail contains Beer and Tequila together! I know that might sound a little much but when mixed with the other ingredients this cocktail is perfectly balanced in taste.

 

 This was my first time trying a Beergarita and they are absolutely delicious!

 

Thanks to my friend Ms. Dalia for sharing the recipe. Now I will share with ya'll!

 

 

What you will need to made Beergarita's:

 

 Beer (we used Corona)

Tequila

Frozen Limeade concentrate

7-up or Sprite

Salt

Chile con Limon

Ice

Serving pitcher

Wooden spoon

 

Add to serving pitcher one bottle of beer and one frozen Limeade concentrate. Use the empty Limeade container to measure Tequila and 7-up. Add one container full of Tequila and one container full of 7-up. Add ice and stir. To prepare the rim of the cup or glass. Wet the rim of your glass with water or a little lemon juice. Mix salt and the Chile con Limon together on a plate or shallow dish. Place rim of glass in the mixture. Now your ready to pour your Beergarita's, serve and enjoy!

 

 

Beergarita's are sure to be a hit at your next summer get together!

Visited my local Pet Smart today and I always stop by to see the cats they have from the Humane Society ready to be adopted. I just happen to see this cute guy and he just seemed like he would make a really good pet. I would have loved to take him home but I already have 2 cats at home. :( I know this cutie will make somebody a great companion.

Tried out a new restaurant in my city called, Pasion. They offer upscale Mexican cuisine and unusual cocktails. I tried the Jalapeno Margarita and it was AWESOME! Sweet and spicy. It was just perfect!

June Beauty Favorites

Welcome To Summer!

I just realized that it has been 6 months since I started my blog! Where has the year gone??? It has really flown by... literally! ;) For June's beauty favorites I have some really awesome products to share with you and I think that you will like them as much as I do :)

 

For my first favorite I have the Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle Spray. I tend to have dry and hard to comb hair especially when its wet so, a little of this spray has really helped with being able to comb through my hair easily after a shower. It also provides heat and color protection and has an amazing vanilla scent. This is a product I really enjoy using everyday. You can purchase this product through +Birchbox  and I believe it cost around $20. It will last you a long time so you find that the price is worth it.

 

 

 

My next June favorite is Color Club Professional Nail Lacquer in London Calling #6024 Wanderlust Collection. I absolutely love this color! After wearing it only one time I had so many complements. I even had a TSA agent at the airport comment on it!  It is a very pale mint green color in the bottle but once its on your nails it looks almost like a neon "highlighter" pen color. It is great color for the summer. You can purchase this at +Birchbox  also. The set includes 4 mini polishes for $8.00.

 

 

 

Another product that I have been really enjoying is the Boscia Self-Defense Vital Antioxidant Moisture with SPF 30. It is a very light weight yet rich with antioxidants to help promote anti-aging. It absorbs quickly and my face does not feel oily afterward. It is a great everyday moisturizer. Some other great things about this product is that it has no sulfates, parabens, alcohol, preservatives, or artificial fragrance. It actually has no scent and I love that!! You can purchase this product at +Sephora for $36.

 

Last but not least... The favorite I have been loving the most this month...

it’s the Sephora Triple Action Cleansing Water. This is a gentle makeup remover for the entire face and it works amazingly! It reminds me of a toner but it’s also a makeup remover! You can use this before you wash your face or after….  I like using after. It really gets every little bit of makeup off and you don’t have to rinse your face afterwards! The formula is gentle on the skin as it is alcohol free and paraben free.  There are other beauty brands with similar cleansing water products that do the same thing but they are much more expensive in price compared to the Sephora brand. This Sephora product is very affordable at $6, $12 or $20 depending on the size. +Sephora

What's in My ipsy Glam Bag? June 2013

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hey Everyone!!

I was so excited to open my ipsy Glam Bag this month as it is the cutest leopard print neon bag! Inside several full size products... making me feel like I'm really getting my $10 worth! I love it when that happens :) Several of the products and brands are new to me and I am really looking forward to trying all of them out. Here we go....

 

 

June ipsy Glam Bag

 

 

Freeman Beauty Psssst!® The TRUE Original Dry Shampoo-This is one of the best dry shampoo I have ever used! I have actually purchased this brand before on my own and loved it. It does not leave hardly any white powder behind and it has a pleasant scent.

 

Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil- I am looking forward to trying this product out as I don't normally gravitate to highlight products. This one is slightly different as it is a matte highlighter and will highlight without the shimmer. Most of the time I usually skip highlighting all together but will give this one a shot!

 

J.Cat Beauty Sparkling Cream Palette- I have to be honest ... I don't think I will be using this one. I haven't worn glitter since the 90's and do not plan on it. It might be good for Halloween :0)

 

NYX  Cream Blush in Taupe - This product is very exciting for me since I have never tried a cream blush and I have never tried any NYX products before! I have heard so many good things about cream blushes and NYX. I have heard cream blushes can look very natural and last all day. I hope this one will live up to my expectations.

 

Starlooks Lip Pencil- When I first took the cap off this pencil I let out a "Whoa!" because it was such a bright neon pink color. But I tried it out a little on my hand and blended it and it actually is a really nice color. This is the first product I am trying out from this brand and I have a good feeling about it.
